Chokecherry is a common plant. In Russia, it is often planted on allotment gardens, it is used for making jams and compotes. The use of this berry in cooking, however, is much wider, which is well known to representatives of the catering business. It is used to make excellent desserts, marmalades and jellies, it is added to sauces for meat, and the juice is used as a natural food dye.
